*Whistles Innocently*

Jameson has my car, and my knee hurts, and, uh, it's cold... So. I decided not to go to work today. The fact that I wouldn't really have anything to do there also helped.
Today, thus, would have been very well-spent in catching up my laundry, doing some dishes, and generally cleaning up the house. Or, I could have worked on the next Valmai story. Or, maybe, worked on
zinaya_y2kewel's Slytherin scarf, or sewn the buttons back on my leather jacket, or something like that.
Instead, I read fanfic pretty much all morning, and have been spending the afternoon teaching JC from my Wednesday night D&D game how to crochet. The good things about this are that he is learning to crochet, and that I'm finishing a rug I started a while back. Rugs are neat. Spreading the Crafting Word is also neat.
But, no laundry, no dishes, no cleaning. No story. No Slytherin scarf. No reattachment of severed buttons.
I did, however, spend a couple minutes scanning in some really bad artwork, earlier. I don't know what possessed me to do this, exactly, but there it is. If you wanna see my terrible renditions of Emlyn, Wynn, and, just for fun, Tourmaline (who is a character in the NaNovel), you can click here. They're pretty crappy, not just because I'm a bad artist but also because my scanner was doing strange things with colors, and because poor Wynn was drawn on notebook paper during an Honors English seminar last semester. Despite the lines through his cherubic little face, I have to say that Wynn is my favorite of the bunch.
ourobouros says that Emlyn looks a bit like Brent Spiner. That would be ok with me, as I think Brent Spiner (at least in his young, fit, Data-playing days) is pretty damn hot, but I have to say that I think Emlyn looks, mainly, poorly-drawn.
One thing is clear. I should stick to writing.
