I just got back from the podiatrist.

OMFG that hurt. I'm talking about the injection of local anesthetic, of course, which I'm sure hurt waaaay less than having the surgery without anesthesia at all would've.

But still, guys, it hurt a lot.

And now both of my feet are covered with that horrible pins-and-needles sensation you get after your legs fall asleep. Erg.

But, on the bright side, in about two weeks I'll be walking around completely free of toenail-related pain!

SO GLAD IT'S OVER.

My sister apparently gets horrible ingrown toenails from dance sometimes--I remember at least one that she had to have cut out by a doctor. *shudder*

Hopefully, this will be the one-time deal that takes care of the problem, for me. There's a small chance that the nail will grow back, but it's not likely.

And I just wanted to say, It's So Hard Not To Sporfle at the romance when you use the icon with the vacuum cleaner in it!

I love the vacuum cleaner romance icon... I have to use it at every possible opportunity!

Anyway, the awesome thing about the toes is that, for the price of a little excruciating pain and then some continuing mild discomfort, I get to stay home and write all day today! Yay!

But first - lunch. Mmm, lunch eaten at an actual table, and not at my desk at work...

Oh man, yeah! I've been dealing with ingrown nails for months now. It's gonna be great to walk without discomfort again.
