revenaMan, Jameson took my car in for maintenance today preparatory to our trip out to see his parents for Thanksgiving, and it's got enough miles on it to need a full-on fluid replacement and tune-up job. Which will cost about $900. OUCH.
I'd rather pay for preventative maintenance than get real car trouble further down the line (so far the only problems we've had with the Prius are tire-related, and I want to keep it that way), but I sure wish that being prudent could be cheaper, sometimes.
