How much Asaro have you read? I've never gone through her stuff systematically, but I've read more than one where the plot is "Dude is kidnapped/taken captive by/in power of ladies who want his babies." And it's not skeezy, until you realize it's the third book you've read with this plot, and, um. If this was fanfic, I'd know what to think!
