Family

Valmai #38, "Family", is finished and up on my blog. It's a bit shorter this time around, but you'll all be pleased to know that the next several stories will probably be quite long, as Valmai explains where she's been and what she's been doing all this time. Anyway, I hope you enjoy it!

With my eyes still closed, I drifted towards awareness, stretching lazily and pointing my toes towards the foot of the bed. I heard a very pleasant sound, and blurrily realized that it was my mother, singing.

Waffling

Despite getting four hours of sleep last night, I'm feeling pretty damn awake right now. I'd like to do something constructive with my insomnia, if I can, but I'm having a hard time focusing on a project. It occured to me that it's been quite some time since I relied on y'all to vote and tell me what to do with my boundless creative energies... ;-) High time!
