In Brighter News...

We went out to dinner tonight to celebrate Mom's birthday. It's a good thing I don't work Fridays, as I was able to spend most of the day finishing up her present. I took a Happy Family Grandma Barbie doll and made it over into a SCUBA-diving Mom doll, complete with a little BC and regulators and a tank and everything. I was pleased with how it came out, and she loved it, so excellent! I took some pictures before giving it to her, and I'll probably post them at hp_ooak tomorrowish.

On the subject of creative pursuits - the reading period for the anthology I submitted Book of Saint Tourmaline to ended a couple days ago... I should be getting my rejection notice in the mail any day now. I'm kind've weirdly excited about that.
