revena: Ginny Weasely with a book and quill; text reads: I'm blogging this (Blogging)
A while back, Dad talked me into installing one of those sitemeter doohickeys on my webpage (that’d be the robynfleming.com webpage. Yeah, the one with the super-original name). I think it took me all of two days to get totally obsessed with checking my stats every day to see how many people are viewing the site, and where they come from, both in terms of the links that bring them in and where they appear to be physically located.

I have learned some interesting things. Thing one is that there are a lot of people out there in the wide world of the internets searching for “Robyn Fleming” on Google and Yahoo and so on. I get at least one of those a week. Are they actually searching for me? Are they all other Robyn Flemings who are googling themselves? It is a mystery!

Another thing I have learned is that I get a lot of traffic from doing stuff like the Brain Parade at Meme Therapy. So I guess I should never say no to interviews, or interview-like things.

And a third thing I have learned is that a lot of people, no matter where they come in from, stick around and read some of the writing I’ve got posted up there. Which reminds me that I don’t have very much there to read.

So I’m trying to think of things that I’ve written that would make for good website content – maybe I could put up a few of my better essays, and revise some life-writing lj posts and put them there, and maybe even put up a few pieces of super-short fiction, and/or some more of my poetry.

Do any of you have ideas or suggestions for what I might want to archive on my website?
