1. Get an idea.
2. Write up a storm.
3. Read over it. Hate it.
4. Wait a couple days and read it again. Decide it's sort of ok.
5. Show it to writing-type friends. Get feedback.
6. Edit. Hate it.
7. More editing. Still hate it.
8. Leave it alone for a few days. Remember it fondly.
9. It's pretty good, actually! Plan to submit it.
10. Format and do one last pass of edits.
11. Submit.
12. Feel pretty accomplished! Read it again. It's still goo… OH GOD GLARING TYPOGRAPHICAL ERRORS.
13. Submitter's remorse!
