So, I had sort've intended, last night, to come home directly after babysitting, and get a bunch of writing done. Instead, I ended up chatting about CYR teaching issues with Master Hwang until midnight, and then when I did get home, I... Well...
kphoebe and I read The Eye of Argon out loud to each other. And then, amid choking gasps of laughter, I had The Best Idea Ever.
That idea, my friends, is the
argonathon.
If you've been attracted to ficathons, but reluctant to actually participate, this one is totally for you. Seriously! How much more low-pressure can you get? You can sign up anytime, there's no exchange factor, and you can choose to use or ignore the prompt you're provided with, as you please. There are no requirements for length or genre - you don't even have to get a beta, if you don't want to. All you have to do is finish your story by the end of October.
