I think toddlers have this spidey-sense kinda thing where if you have a bad bruise or a scrape or a jagged, broken-off toenail, they know it's there, and then they search it out and stand right on it. And then sometimes they jump. This is related to the way that a bottle-feeding baby you are holding in your lap will always, always flail out and kick you in the jaw the instant your tongue goes anywhere near your teeth.
Babies: Thank goodness they're still smaller than me, right?
I had a very good time looking after
zinaya_y2kewel's spawn this evening, actually. They are ridiculously adorable children, even when they are injuring me, and very fun to play with and sing to (also they do not make fun of my voice. Yet).
I am going to do my damnedest not to have two so quickly in succession when Jimmy and I do the parenting thing, though. It's more like the work of taking care of one pre-verbal child cubed, rather than doubled, for serious.
