Happy New Year

Today started off with me smacking my head on the corner of the bookshelf in my bedroom. Martial artists, graceful? Pft.
Annnyway, it's not been a terrible day, but it hasn't been a particularly good one, either. I'm glad Jimmy is back in town, because the day certainly would have been much worse without him.
I'm currently at my usual babysitting gig, with a few differences. One is that Jimmy is actually with me, because Don and Charlotte thought they might stay out past two in the morning, and I thought it'd be good to have another adult in the house/car on the way home, if I was going to do nearly twelve hours of kid-watching. The length of the job is the other difference, of course.
Esme fell asleep about forty minutes ago. Emery will probably play videogames until midnight. Aubrey is dozing, already.
What am I going to do for however many more hours? Usually I never get past the "watching movies on the couch with Esme passed out across my legs" phase.
Ah, well. I've got yarn, a book, my laptop... And I can sneak over here to the boy's internet-enabled laptop and check my flist periodically, I suppose.
And there's Jimmy to keep me company, too, if he ever stops playing video games with Emery...
And I suppose I could always work on composing a list of New Year's Resolutions.
