Some Things I Did Today

Here are some of the things I accomplished today:

i. washed car

ii. applied bumper stickers and magnetic flames (v. important!)

iii. purchased neon pink collapsible cooler

iv. purchased other useful - but less awesome - items for road trip

v. killed a brown recluse spider while babysitting

vi. finished one of four writing things I needed to do

vii. designed and created a necklace to go with my fancy dress outfit

viii. had very serious thoughts about running a very odd sort of ficathon thing. More on that later, if it develops into anything solid

Tomorrow:

i. finish packing

ii. finish fancy dress thingies

iii. do more of these writing dealies

iv. get new water dish for cats

v. get dragged screaming (but probably not kicking) to Urgent Care to deal with the toenail

Wow, I'd LOVE to be that productive! Hell, I'd be happy just to get my car washed.
And, you're still dealing with the toe? Hie thee to Urgent Care! STAT!!! :) It'll make your trip a lot more pleasant.

To do (continued):
vi. Plan to make in into the Kansas City/Lawence area so I can meet you in person because you seem really cool(even though I'd probably end up just gibbering like an idiot in the presence of super smart ladies like you and kphoebe and anyone else you'd hang out with :P)

Really though, if your driving plans include stopping for the nights in the area, and you don't mind staying at some crazy stranger's house, I may be able to get you free overnight accommodations at either my place or my boyfriend's. Also totally not offended if you won't be in the area/that'd just be too weird ^_^ I just know that tends to be one of the most expensive parts of doing the travel thing.

Hrm... It's possible that our return route could pass through Kansas City, though we hadn't been planning on it. Let's see how things go on the way out there, and what-all craziness goes on at the con itself, but kphoebe and Jimmy and I might just descend on you at the end of the month. ;-)

St. Louis to Kansas City is an easy, quick drive, on an interstate which is usually pretty low on the traffic until KC itself.

Totally! Now that my swamp cooler is working (YAY!), I really should have some people over for some knitting and/or movies or something...
