Here are some responses to requests on the picture meme:

[livejournal.com profile] zinaya_y2kewel wanted to see my kitties. Zuul was not interested in posing for the camera:

Xerxes thought maybe it would be fun to eat it:

[livejournal.com profile] vanityfair00 wanted to see my favorite food. The one that was easiest to photograph was my favorite chips:

[livejournal.com profile] cavalaxis wanted to see my favorite costume. My very favorite thing to wear for any reason is this cloak, which I do actually wear to work sometimes:

[livejournal.com profile] spic_ity_do_da wanted to see my sock drawer. I have three. Here they are:

[livejournal.com profile] bbcaddict - I'm gonna have to go next door to take a picture of my one martial arts related trophy. I'll try to get that up tomorrow!

[livejournal.com profile] moonglows wants to see my new haircut. It's hard to photograph one's own hair, but this might give you an idea:

Any other requests?

Oh, that cloak is beautiful! ::covets::

Damnit I need to learn to weave. And then win the lottery so I can get a loom.

It's as cozy as a blanket, but considerably more stylish! I got it from these people: http://www.greentreeweaving.net/ at the local ren fair.

It's about four/five years old now, and holding up great. Machine washable!

I am so all about the machine washable. It's a requirement in my cat-hair prolific world.

just don't do what my mom has done. We have a lovely floor loom that we bought many years ago. I thnk she's done one small piece on it. Then it sat at the side of the living room for a long time, and now it's stored away. I thnk it's hiding in the spare bedroom. I'd love to get it out and do something on it, but there's really nowhere in the house to do so.
I'd recommend starting with one of the smaller ones so it's not so overwhelming, unless you're one of those rare people who actually finishes all the stuff they start.

Hah! I'm so much a process person, not a product person, but that's change as I get older. No, I know not to dive right into Floor Loom. I have an inkle loom and maybe a table top next, but right now I have no space at all.

So it's all trim for me now! I'm learning pickup weaving and after that, card weaving which has some amazing potential. Snarky sayings in trim!

I'm pretty opposite. I'm very impatient and instant gratification oriented in most of my projects. That's why I like sewing so much. even if a project is pretty huge I can see definite progress and get my kicks from finishing portions of things.
Someday I may work up the patience/time to do something on the adorable tiny inkle loom we've got.
What do you use/plan to use the trim for?

Uh, bookmarks? Hee. I sewed some on my Viking garb, which was a one time thing. I'm also making a baldric for my husband in his heraldic colors.

Dude, seriously use the inkle loom. It's fantastic. So easy and so rewarding.

I'd actually thought about making some bookmarks in HP House colors, because I'm the world's biggest geek.

No, I'm one of the sane SCAdians. Relatively.

I have a day job that pays all my bills and leaves me enough to pay for all my bitchin' hobbies.

Heh. I'm not sure if there is such a thing as a sane one. I've been playing for jut over 23 years if you want to count womb time ^_^ My parents have all been playing since they were highschool/college.
I just narrowly missed having waaayyy more work than I wanted. My parents were one of two evenly supported couples who put in for the baronage when Mal and Dej stepped down. As is was they didn't get it, so I just had to attend the outgoing/incoming barons and baronesses in their investiture court at Lillies this year.
What's your persona, other than one time Viking?

Hee. I'm 15th Italian Gypsy by way of Turkey, or North Africa, depending on my mood.

I'm in Caid, btw. It's an honor and a pleasure to meet you, m'lady.

oooh, late! Nice spinning. I have a drop spindle I haven't touched since I took the class >_<
I'm 10th c. Khazar. Khazar father Viking mother. The fun part is that they had both chosen personas, THEN my mom found out through her research that they really could have quite possibly met. There's a lot overlap in Norse and Khazar trading routes. They've even found Khazar things in Viking burials. Or maybe it's the other way around. I don't remember now. I went Khazar largely because I get to wear pants ^_^
My boyfriend is starting out Viking, but has hopes of 14th/15th c Spanish when he has the money to do it right.
No more geeking! Sleep for me! Would you mind if I friended you next time I'm on?

Xerxes looks like he's thinner. But maybe it's just the angle.

It's probably the angle. He weighed thirteen pounds on the scale at the veterinarian's office last week.
