Anyone in Tucson Want a Dog?

I'm still hoping to hear from the owner of the dog I found the other night, but I can't keep her in the yard any longer - she needs to be taken in somewhere and treated for fleas and ticks, for one thing, and she's clearly very lonely out there by herself.

Anyway, if I don't hear from anyone by four this afternoon, I'm going to have to take her to the Humane Society and hope that they can either find the owner or place her with a new family. Does anyone reading this have an interest in a young dog of indeterminate breed and very friendly temperament?

If I had a house with a yard, I would adopt her so that Sasha would have a friend, because she LOVES other dogs. Sadly, of course, I can't :( (huh, I would ask my brother, but he has that stupid Chihuahua of his friend's staying there.)

Will you be free for me to swing by this evening? Yesterday I didn't see your email, unfortunately (because my inbox is FILLED with wordcount spam from the writer's group, and it's getting really hard to sift through things).

She's so cute that I would keep her if I could, and I don't even like dogs.

I should be home from around 8:30ish onward, or you can come by the office before four. It's 330 N. Granada, and I'm in the smaller building behind the larger one.

What writer's group is that? I've seen you talking about it on your lj, and have been curious.

She looks really sweet. And I seriously, seriously wish that I could take her, 'cause we've been thinking Sasha would do very well with a "sibling." (Yes, my dog is insanely energetic [though she's getting better] but she's soooo good around other dogs, she loves them) Maybe I'll try to get through to my brother anyway. My mom's always nagging him to get exercise; dogs help.

Okay, so I'll probably swing by this evening. Sorry I didn't get the message yesterday.

The writer's group is the Tucson Nano group that I've been lucky enough to fall back in with. At the moment, there's a summer challenge going on (and I am failing miserably 'cause of the trip coming up).

The list is nano-t at yahoogroups. I THINK anyone can get onto it if you want to; if there's trouble, the mod is syrinxkat. (most of the time it seems like the group does critique and stuff for whatever everyone's choosing to write, so the challenge stuff is optional ^^)

Shot in the dark, but I plugged the dog on my LJ... 'cause, you know, I'm just that into dogs and I think they all deserve families.

I don't think I've ever seen a dog with eyes so pale a brown, before.
