revena: Drawing of me (Me and Jimmy)

Martelle bought me some big-ass wedding planning magazines (I love Martelle!), and we flipped through part of one of them on a break just now.

Look at this dress! (1516, if the link doesn't quite work)

*cough*

Ok, I think I can be normal for a while now.

Dresses! Eeeee!

Knowing me and Jimmy, probably either a foresty green or a slatey blue.

But it's gorgeous in pretty much all the colors, IMO.

I looked at the forest green. Lovely!
But yeah, it is gorgeous. :)

I like pretty much all of that "dream in color" collection. Very pretty designs!

Ooooo. PRETTY.

And I think you're allowed to wedding stuff, Miss Soon-To-Be-Missus. More than allowed.

I just don't want to get all tedious and turn this into Bride-To-Be Blog instead of, y'know, my usual blend of Violence, Reading, Writing, and Knitting Blog ;-)

You could make a filter for those of us that don't mind the Bride-to-be stuff.

Hell, you add the bride stuff to the violence, you get Kill Bill, but I digress.

*nod* I might filter if I start feeling the urge to talk about this stuff constantly. That's a good idea.

Plus, blogging is a good way to document the event.

Another option is making a separate blog to document the preparations. One of my friends made a community that only she and her intended could post to, and they both entered things into it until the big day. And then they posted pictures. It was great.

In other news, those light up knitting needles are available here (http://clover-usa.com/cat.php?k=59577), and we sell 'em for the same price. Except that I have an employee discount of 20%, and we have a coupon instore right now for 25% off any pair of knitting needles.....so it's actually much cheaper!

That's a good idea, the community - it'd allow people who like to see stuff pop up on their lj flists do that, and people who want to read about it but don't want to join lj to see what's up (unlike filtering), but still allow others to opt out.

Clever friends!

(I'll have to check out the needles more properly after some dinner. Yay, knitting!)

I really like the line of color at the back, no matter which color it is. Lovely dress.

*nod* I definitely am uninterested in plain white, but mostly-white (or cream, or ivory) with some bold notes of another color is quite appealing.

It's lovely, and why shouldn't you talk about it, Hmmmm?

I suppose we ought to think about a wedding present now. I'm not sure jameson would appreciate the usual gifts of smut though, so we'l have to think of something more sensible.

*looks at her tedious baby blog entries*

Damn it. I feel the need to do some random post now. :p

Oh, and I was trying so very hard to not go wedding crazy on you but you aren't making it easy. I'll just get it out of my system now, k?

I shall click links with abandon, later!

(you may be pleased to know that I started a little scrapbook this afternoon for pictures and ideas. Yes, I'll bring it along next time we get dinner or something)

*every* wedding magazine it seems is a BIG ASS wedding magazine.

I saw a book called Wedding Crafting or something of that nature if you were interested in making stuff- if you have TIME or want to be a serious control freak that is! ;)

Sadly, I still have my dress- would have gotten rid of it but that's the drawback of your mom making it- she threatens you with death if you say you're thinking about getting rid of it.

I looked briefly at some wedding craft books while I was at Michael's this afternoon... I might buy myself one if it's got enough interesting stuff in it. I favor very simple sorts of ceremonies, though, so there's not that much stuff that I'd want to make, anyway.

Heh.
All that "OMFG EVERY GUEST NEEDS A PERSONALIZED LACE PLACECARD" bullshit is crap!
:)
But then people were pissed off there wasn't an open bar at the reception- TOO BAD.

Hon, I think you are more than entitled to blog your planning with abandon. I don't think there would be many who object to that. And that dress you like with the coloured train, I finally got around to looking at the bodice... *boggles*.

I think whatever you do will be awesome though. I just hope you do decide to share. And I agree with [livejournal.com profile] cavalaxis bride+violence+etc= kill bill (of sorts).

so tell us whats the haps when it happens. :)
