Meh. Didn't much care for this episode. I'm getting reeeally tired of Chuck being such a baby about things. A certain level of optimism and idealism is integral to the character, but seeing Sarah kill a guy - a guy who was threatening to kill his sister not long before - shouldn't be such an earth-shattering moment for him. He knows what she does for a living, and people have already died because of the secrets in his head. Nothing new there.

I was also super-disappointed in Awesome. Repeatedly plotting to take on an armed and apparently unstable individual, even as people you trust are warning you off? Is not awesome.

I liked the quirky bits of humor. Casey's wrapping-paper injuries, the people everyone chose to call, Big Mike's cousin, even the toe-shooting incident had some funny bits to it (and also now Casey only has nine toes. It'll be interesting to see how many fics that strange factoid works its way into). But with all the SRS BUSINESS stuff that was just not interesting, it wasn't enough.

I think you're probably right about that... unfortunately, keeping Chuck in the dark about the grittier side of their dealings could ultimately be the thing that gets him killed in spite of Casey's efforts.

*nods* I'd really like to see Chuck getting some basic training and education from his handlers (he can't pick everything up from skimming a manual). Some more team dynamics stuff would be fun, I think, and could take some of the pressure off the UST.
