Classes and Memes and Fiction, Oh My!

Well, my first day of Women in Antiquity was pretty good. We started right out with hymns and poems in honor of Inanna/Ishtar, which means that there was a lot of rather graphic sexual language to read right on the first day of class... I do wonder how many people are going to be left, tomorrow, as a few of the students seemed a wee bit shocked. Anyway, the class should be good. I'm hoping to very much enjoy this presession course.

This evening, instead of starting off on the right foot by getting ahead on all of my readings, I went to dinner with friends and then got started working on Valmai #33. I'm rather hoping to wrap up this Ametrine-centric stuff in two or three more segments. I'm missing Valmai a lot, and I gather that several of my readers are, as well... Anyway, the end is in sight, I promise. And this particular segment is just about two pages long, at the moment, so I may even be able to get us all closer to that end before the end of this week.

Woops! I have, actually... There were just so mannnny, I must have missed it in the haze of bolding and underlining.

Yeah, I've heard good things about Rickman in Die Hard. I should probably rent it. But then again, sometimes it's better -not- to feed my obsessions. I went through a Brent Spiner phase and ended up buying a bunch of weird CDs and so on, to fuel it.

i took that women in antiquity class! i hated it! well, the teacher, not the class. i did have a lot of fun with the raunchy materials and impromptu readings during get-togethers.

There are a bunch of different teachers that teach it. I've got Dr. Bella Vivante, but you might've had someone different. I rather like the material so far.
