Tomorrow is Another Day

Ok, well, I did get -some- writing done tonight. A whole page, in fact. But still, not as much as I wanted to, and not as much as I need to to finish this installment. So, in the hopes of smashing through my writer's block, if there are any Valmaiverse questions you want answered, or stories you want told, leave me a comment in response to this post, and I'll see if diverting my focus slightly doesn't help me get back on track.

In the meantime, here's a moderately humorous story about something Jameson said, to tide you over if you're in some kind of Robyn's writing withdrawal or something.

We were having a tender moment of cuddling, and saying the soppy, mushy sorts of things that one says. For some reason, I thought of Episode III, and, looking deeply into his eyes and speaking in a melodramatic voice, said:

"Are you so handsome because you're in love? Or because I'm blinded by my love for you?"

"Neither," Jameson answered, promptly. "It's plastic surgery."

Well, I cracked up, anyway. Maybe you had to be there. On the other hand, if you -had- been there, that could have been distinctly awkward...

Ok, so... Request some stories or something. Help me smash the hell outta this block!

You could write me some young Valmai and young(ish) Wynne, if you like....since I now know she has big sisters a fight with one of them might be funnification.

Alternatively I'd quite like to hear more from your cats, what do tey think of your writer's block?

Heh... So I spent all day thinking about your suggestion, and trying to plot a little one-shot story about Wynn and Valmai as kids... And then, I came home, and finished the story I was blocked on, instead. ;-) I'll definitely save that idea for later, though. It might actually get worked into regular continuity, in fact.

Hey - a page is a page! I find that excessive amounts of sugar fat and caffeine work pretty well for writers block sometimes. You just rev up your heart rate enough to bust on through it. Sometimes you end up with abberant scenarios, like you might fly off in a frenzy and end up with Wynn deciding he really looks like Peter Pan, so he joins an order of fairies or something, but it's better than nothing, I guess. ;-)

The latest sketch of Wynn looks an awful lot like Billy Boyd, actually. I dunno what that means...

Anyway, I ended up drinking about six Mountain Dews shortly after eating pop tarts, this evening, and...

Do you ever read the Believer? If not, you should pick up the latest issue and read the article on DIY Semantics. I think you might like it. If you do read it, tell me what you think. Also, I love -LOVE- your Esme reports. :)

What is the Believer? I haven't heard of it.

I'm glad you like the Esme stories... They seem to be a hit, in general. She's such a trip! I love that kid.

I don't know how to classify the Believer. The Believer is sort of a magazine (although I don't think that's quite the right word) with lots of witty essays and interviews with awesome people.
