I just went to scan a document for one of the accountants, and when it came out of the scanner... UGH. There were COCKROACH PIECES ON IT.

THERE IS AT LEAST ONE COCKROACH IN MY SCANNER.

I think I need to make high-pitched noises of distress and flail my hands around some more. Excuse me.

AUUUUGHGHHG!

I am usually the one saying "oh, neat" while other people stand on chairs and scream, but there are a few things that reallllly gross me out. Cat vomit. Dead bugs inside my technology. Etc.

So, lemme get this straight. Scanned doc had picture of bug parts or original doc had actual bug parts on it?

I guess it's also because I grew up in Texas. Dead bug parts don't hold any terror any more. Live spiders, yes. Dead insects, not so much.

I inserted a clean document into the scanner. Scanner made noises like there was a paperclip or something in it. Document came out with smushed roach on it.

Ewwwwww! There was a wood roach in the house a few years ago that freaked me out. I actually picked up each cat and made sure they saw the thing so I would know exactly where it was until George came home to kill it. Roaches bring out the girlie.

Well you could put gloves on first if it makes you feel better.

And it wasn't as if it were a whole one anyway.

Besides, from the legal perspective you almost certainly shoulnd't have cleaned it out yourslef but called in a trained technician or you would have invalidated the servicing agreement. (Read and learn how to get out of doing things without looking like a girly girl).
